Privacy Policy

Ice Lyfe Quiet Wealth Group (“Ice Lyfe,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we receive, how we use it, and what control you have over it.

What We Collect

If you are just visiting. The public site does not require you to sign in. When you submit a membership request or the mailing list signup, we collect only what you type into the form: typically your name, email address, phone number, city, profession, areas of interest, and anything you write in the message. That is stored securely so we can review and respond to it.

If you hold a membership. The member portal is a private, signed-in area, and it holds considerably more. The next section explains exactly what a member account contains.

We also record basic, anonymous usage statistics — which pages are visited and how many people visit each day. This uses no cookies and no tracking pixels. We never store your IP address; it is converted into an irreversible code that changes daily, so visits cannot be traced back to you or linked together over time.

Member Accounts & The Portal

A member account exists only after we approve your request and you activate it. It contains the following.

Authentication data

Your email address, your chosen username, and your password. We never store your password itself — only a bcrypt hash of it, which cannot be reversed back into the original. Invite, activation, and password-reset links are single-use and expiring, and we store only a SHA-256 hash of each token, so a stolen copy of our database would not yield a working link. We also record the time of your last sign-in. Your session is kept in a signed, HTTP-only cookie that your browser sends back to us; it cannot be read by scripts on the page.

Your member profile

Whatever you choose to add: name, headline, biography, city, profession, accolades, profile photo, and links to your website and social accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X). These fields are optional and you control them. Your profile is visible to other signed-in members through the member directory — that is the point of a network — so treat it as information you are sharing with the membership, not with us alone. It is never shown on the public website and is excluded from search engines.

Messaging and connections

Connection requests between members, and the contents of direct messages and group conversations, are stored in our database along with who sent each message, who received it, and when it was read. We also keep in-app notifications about this activity.

Please understand clearly: messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are protected in transit and at rest by our hosting and database providers, but they are technically readable by us as the operator of the platform. We access member messages only where strictly necessary — investigating abuse, a security incident, a support request you have made, or a legal obligation — and never for advertising or profiling. Do not use portal messaging to send anything you would not want the operator of the platform to be capable of reading.

Things you post or submit

Posts, comments, likes, and any images or files you upload are stored and attributed to your account. Uploaded files are held in Vercel Blob storage and are served from an unguessable public URL. If you submit a funding request, we store what you provide about the project — summary, amount sought, stage, timeline, use of funds, and contact details — and it is visible to Ice Lyfe administrators.

Subscriptions & Payments

Membership dues are billed as a recurring subscription. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor.

We never see or store your card number. Card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted checkout and billing pages — not on this site — so no card data ever reaches our servers. Changing a payment method or cancelling likewise happens on Stripe's hosted portal.

To set up your subscription we send Stripe your name, your email address, and an internal reference to your member account. What we store on our side is limited to what we need to know whether your membership is active: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your subscription status, your membership level (Member, Private, or Inner Circle), the date your current billing period ends, and a log of the billing events Stripe has sent us. Where dues have been waived, we record that, who approved it, when, and the reason.

Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment information and handles it under its own privacy policy, linked above. Stripe may retain transaction records after you cancel in order to meet financial and tax obligations.

How We Use It

  • To review and respond to membership requests.
  • To operate your member account — signing you in, showing your profile in the member directory, and delivering your messages and notifications.
  • To bill membership dues and keep your access in step with your subscription status.
  • To send account and service email: invitations, activation and password resets, connection requests, and new-message alerts.
  • To confirm chauffeur reservations and event RSVPs.
  • To keep the platform secure and investigate abuse or misuse.
  • To send updates about events and private business ventures, if you asked to be added to the list.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We do not use your messages, profile, or payment information to train machine-learning models, and we do not profile you for advertising.

Submissions, member account data, and usage statistics are held by our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon) purely to operate this site. You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — just email us and we will action it.

Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we never use cookies to follow you across other websites.

If you sign in as a member, we set a strictly necessary session cookie so the portal knows it is you as you move between pages. It is signed, HTTP-only, and cannot be read by scripts. Signing out clears it, and it expires on its own. Without it, signing in is not possible — which is why it is not optional.

The public site also stores a single value in your browser's session storage to remember that you have passed the entry screen, so it isn't shown on every page. It clears when you close your browser and is never sent to us.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of providers, each only for the job named:

  • Vercel — Hosting and file storage for uploads. Processes standard server request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
  • Neon — The database that stores member accounts, profiles, messages, and subscription status.
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription billing. Card details are handled by Stripe, never by us.
  • Resend — Delivery of account and notification email. Receives the recipient address and the contents of that email.
  • Google Fonts — Serves the typefaces used on this site.

Links to our social media profiles lead to third-party platforms governed by their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or opt out of communications. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

You can edit most of your profile yourself from inside the portal at any time. To close your account or request a copy or deletion of your data, email members@ice-lyfe.com and we will honor the request.

One limit worth stating plainly: deleting your account removes your profile and your side of the network, but a message you already sent to another member remains in that member's conversation, in the same way a sent email stays in the recipient's inbox.

To stop receiving updates, reply to any message with “unsubscribe” or email us directly. Account and billing email — password resets, receipts, and subscription notices — is part of the service and cannot be switched off while your membership is open.

How Long We Keep It

Member account data is kept for as long as your membership is open. If you close your account or ask us to delete it, we remove your profile, posts, and account record. Invitation and password-reset tokens expire on their own and are single-use. Anonymous usage statistics are aggregate and are not tied to you.

Two things outlive an account by necessity: Stripe retains payment and transaction records to satisfy financial and tax law, and we may keep a minimal record of a membership having existed where we need it to meet a legal or accounting obligation, or to resolve a dispute.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes, sign-in tokens only as SHA-256 hashes, and card details never reach our servers at all. Access to member data by Ice Lyfe administrators is limited to what their role requires. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not ask you to take that on faith about the things that matter most — your password and your card are not ours to lose.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
